Education & Training:

Graduating with honors in 2008, Alli holds a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor who has received the designation of Certified Eating Disorders Specialist from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. This is currently the only nationally recognized certification that indicates an achieved level of competence in treating eating disorders.

Alli’s pre-licensed training included therapist positions at the Center for Individual and Family Counseling, a community agency, and Monte Nido Treatment Center, a residential Eating Disorder treatment center. At Monte Nido, Alli was fortunate to have been part of a team led by eating disorders expert, Carolyn Costin.

Alli has also completed basic trainings in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Though neither are claimed as her primary treatment modality, due to her training and education, she is permitted to use either. Alli strives to continually further her education and training in various theoretical orientations in order to facilitate the use of techniques, resources, and information that might serve in the healing process.
